Acetate eyewear frame hand finishing in a Japanese workshop

Japanese Eyewear Manufacturing

Made in Japan.
Across materials.

We match product requirements to the right Japanese factory, process and specialist partner.

Capability without a single-factory limit.

Your design determines the route.

EIDAI provides a strong manufacturing base in injection molding and acetate CNC. Sabae Optical expands from that core into Japan's wider eyewear production field.

We coordinate the material, process, component and finishing requirements that turn a product definition into a finished frame.

How we build the route

One brief. A coordinated production plan.

  1. 01Engineering alignment

Design intent, quantity, price position and timing are translated into viable manufacturing decisions.

  2. 02Material planning

Frame materials, components, lenses and finish standards are defined as one connected specification.

  3. 03Partner allocation

Each operation is assigned to the Japanese factory or specialist best suited to the requirement.

  4. 04Completion control

Samples, approvals, finishing, assembly and inspection remain visible through one project route.

Manufacturing coverage

From established constructions to specialist details.

Each category can stand alone or connect to a broader frame program with coordinated components, lenses, finishing and final assembly.

Acetate Frames

Precision CNC machining is paired with hinge work, core-wire processing, tumbling, hand polishing and final fitting. Material thickness, color placement and edge character are considered from the first engineering review.

Titanium Frames

Lightweight constructions are developed with Japanese partners experienced in forming, joining and precise frame completion. Bridge geometry, rim profiles, temple systems and surface specifications are coordinated as one product.

Injection Frames

EIDAI connects mold engineering, 3D prototypes, tooling, robotic handling and secondary processing in one route. The program can continue through coloring, lens fitting, assembly and final inspection.

Metal Frames

Specialist metal production supports refined optical and sun frames in stainless steel and selected alloys. Structural choices, soldered or joined details, components, plating and final fit are reviewed together.

Combination Frames

Acetate and metal systems brought together through coordinated engineering, component sourcing, fitting and finishing.

Optical Frames

Prescription-ready programs cover acetate, titanium, metal, injection and combined material constructions. Lens interface, eyewire consistency, size grading, nose fit and final adjustment are considered for reliable everyday use.

Sunglasses

Fashion and performance sun styles are developed with coordinated frame, lens, color and finishing requirements. Lens base curve, tint direction, coatings, fit and assembly method enter the same technical review.

Special Processing

Uncommon details deserve a direct technical review. We identify suitable Japanese partners for specialist surfaces, laser work, custom components, decorative treatments and finishing operations outside a standard frame route.

Project entry points

Start with what you know.

A complete specification is useful, but it is not required. We can begin from different levels of product definition and clarify the next engineering decision.

01

Concept or reference sample

For brands defining a new construction, material direction or market position before detailed engineering.

02

Drawing or early CAD

For teams ready to test dimensions, structure, manufacturability and the path toward a first physical sample.

03

Production-ready package

For sourcing teams seeking a suitable Japanese factory route, quotation structure and controlled production handoff.

04

Special process request

For a component, finish or technical detail that requires targeted partner research rather than a standard program.

Common questions

Before the first review.

Can you support an early-stage eyewear concept?

Yes. Send sketches, reference samples, preliminary CAD or a production-ready package. We identify the engineering decisions required before sampling.

Does every project run through one factory?

No. EIDAI is a core manufacturing base, while additional Japanese specialists are coordinated when the material, component or finishing requirement calls for them.

Which materials and categories are supported?

Programs may include acetate, injection, titanium, metal and combination frames, plus optical frames, sunglasses, lenses, parts, cases and accessories.

Can you coordinate lenses, parts and packaging?

Yes. The exact scope is confirmed project by project and aligned with the frame specification, destination market and final delivery requirements.

What should a first inquiry include?

Share the product type, target material, drawings or references, expected quantity, timing, destination market and any known testing or packaging requirements.

Define the right route.

Send the design and the decisions already made. We will focus the first review on what still needs to be resolved.
